Our facilities

Situated in our private meadow, sloping down toward East Angle Bay, your camping pitch has easy access to our pub toilet facilities which are open 24/7. This includes two large accessible toilets as well as traditional ladies and gents.

In addition we have two dedicated showers and toilets for all campers in the barn behind the pub.

Adjacent to showers is the pot washing area as well as noticed board, electric kettle and fridge and freezer which all camping guests are welcome to use.

Fire pits are available to hire as well as logs to purchase.

We have dedicated and well signed recycling, waste disposal, and washing up areas and doggy bins.

Please ensure all food waste is placed in our well marked food bins as we use this to feed our hot composter which then feeds our plants in our polytunnel.

Please enjoy our campsite to the full, but leave without a trace by using our facilities correctly, so that others can enjoy the same magical experience that you do.

OFF GRID

Please remember camping in the meadow is off grid (means no power available), however we do have a couple of pitches behind the pub which will have electrical hooks up available.

Access to the campsite is via a tidal causeway. Due to the nature of this, you may find at extremely high tides (only a few times a year) that access is a little tricky for a couple of hours. If you are at the pub side, what better excuse then to relax and enjoy yourself!

Please ask the pub crew, who will be able to tell you when high tides are expected during your stay. The tidal causeway can be a little bumpy in places, due to water damage. The Pembrokeshire National Park make repairs often, but please bear this in mind if you have a very low car.

We ask that fires are not lit directly on the meadow floor, instead being lit in a raised and controlled container, to preserve the area as best as possible. Raised fire pits are available to hire from the pub.

mORE facilities

Cafe Mor

Our seasonal street food Café – Café Mor is open during school holidays and on public bank holidays (depending on the weather), 12pm-3pm. Serving their famous Pembrokeshire Lobster rolls, Mor burgers and seaweed ketchups.

THE OLD POINT HOUSE

The pub is open 7 days a week throughout April - September. We are open for lunch, and takeaway food is available on request. We have seasonal openings in the evening, regular Saturday nights through the year, but early close during the week days of April, May and June.

There is accommodation also available within the pub if required, one on suite and two rooms with there own private bathroom.

EVENTS

We often hold afternoon events in our pub garden, so check out our What’s On page for more information. We have paella days, live music, banquets, theatre events and much more. Please sign up to our newsletter to be first to know about our very unique events: https://www.theoldpointhouse.wales/

Car parking

To help us protect the natural beauty and biodiversity of our little corner of Wales, we do not allow cars or other vehicles into The Meadow, unless they necessary for your stay (eg campervans, disability). Instead, we ask that you leave your car in our large customer car park, which has direct access to the campground, and use the provided wheelbarrows to take your things the short distance to your pitch.

Dog Friendly Campsite

We are a doggy friendly campsite and can welcome a maximum of two dogs per pitch. For the comfort of other guests, we ask that dogs remain under close control/on a lead whilst in the camping and on a lead in pub areas. Whilst we want them to have a good time too, we ask that they please don’t shout too loudly.

There are wonderful walks right from the meadow, but please follow the countryside code as we have lots of wildlife and livestock nearby.

Watch out for tide times and sudden cliff drops when walking around the coastal areas. Our wonderful RNLI have to rescue quite a few dogs every year, please don’t let that be yours. We do have the odd adder here on the Pembrokeshire Coast, so keep your dogs snake safe.

We hope you won’t need to visit for any reason, but we have vets nearby in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock. Our pub has dog a friendly restaurant area, we recommend pre-booking if you wish to dine with us. Our pub garden is dog friendly too, complete with a couple of doggy bins and water bowls.

Well, that’s a little about us and what we can offer. You can find lots of info about the pub and surrounding area at www.theoldpointhouse.wales. All you need do now is book.

We look forward to seeing you soon and hope you have a truly wonderful stay with us and enjoy your perfect pitch at The Point.
